Our veteran instructors will teach you horse and barn care, riding techniques, and take you on trail rides throughout the week. We’ll explore many of the beautiful trails here at Yorktown Bay, as well as venture into the wilderness as you take in the breathtaking views that Lake Ouachita National Forest has to offer.
You will get a glimpse of the old western life as our instructors lead you into the backcountry on an overnight pack trip…the highlight of the week! The only equipment you’ll have is what you can carry in with you on horseback. Our goal is to provide a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere where you can improve your riding and horsemanship skills. This is an adventure that you won't want to miss.
When you aren't riding a horse, there will be plenty of other things to look forward to. Enjoy our delicious and healthy food that will keep you going all day long. Stop by our newly overhauled Camp Store that is stocked with completely new apparel and gear for you to take home. And new for 2008, get launched off "The Blob" and see how big a splash you can make at CYB!
Each evening, we'll come together with all the other Xtreme campers for special events such as night swimming, The Carnival, Rodeo, and our 4th of July celebration. As the sun sets, we'll meet at the Campfire Bowl where we'll learn more about Jesus through songs, skits, and stories from our Camp Pastor. You will be blessed by the things God has for you at CYB.
