Staff Opportunities

FULL-TIME OR YEAR-ROUND STAFF
Our Full-time staff needs do not turn over quickly. There are no positions available at this time. If a position becomes available, it will be posted here.

SUMMER CAMP STAFF
Interested in working at Camp Yorktown Bay during summer camp? We are looking for spiritual, energetic young people who want to join our team and dedicate their summer to working with kids and teaching them more about Christ. Many of our staff are former campers who grew up attending and loving CYB. We strive to pass on that love for camp to all of our new staff members as well. Here are some of the basic qualifications to become a staff member:

QUALIFICATIONS

1. A Seventh-day Adventist Christian. 
2. Minimum age requirement, 18 years. (Very limited positions available for 16 & 17 year-olds.) 
3. Good health and vitality. 
4. Ability to relate to children. 
5. Ability to fulfill responsibility. 
6. Desire to share the gospel with children. 
7. Ability to work with a group and to take direction & advice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Understand, accept, and follow the philosophy, operational  goals, and specific objectives of the camp.
2. Participate in all staff appointments, including morning worships, campfires, and camp councils.
3. Develop skills and attitudes to do the best possible job.
4. Assist other staff in ways to develop a spirit of cooperation.
5. Keep the children in your care physically safe. 
6. Communicate with peers and supervisors on any point or question of concern.
7. Participate in all Sabbath programming.
8. Inventory all equipment in your department at the beginning and end of camping season.
9. Actively follow all safety procedures and meet ACA standards in your area of responsibility.
